This is it. This is the year where my very first round of babies, the very babies whose pictures I've taken since they were wee ones, become high school seniors. In May, I celebrated 17 years in business. It has been a blur and I never could have imagined how very quickly the years would fly by. As all parents know, the old adage is very true.
So, for me, this year is extra special. Cade is one of three boys that I have known and worked with since they were less than a year old. And the best part? All three of them have booked me for their senior sessions—and not one of them even lives here in Lawrence! It's quite humbling. But the reality is, they are so much more than just clients. They are my dear friends. I care about them and their lives, and they care about me too. The relationships I have built throughout the years continue to amaze me and bring me joy. I wouldn't be where I am today without their continued support.
For Cade's senior portrait experience, I headed out to western Nebraska, where the big skies and rolling hills provided an amazing backdrop for Cade's senior images. We had his old jeep (I was almost bounced out of it more than once—Cade was really doing his best to not have to take senior pics. Ha!), his pickup truck, bulls, gorgeous sunsets and more. It was pretty spectacular.
Here are a few of my favorites from his session, as well as some bonus images from sessions past. Check back for his family pics, to be shared at a later date.
Crystal, Mike, Cade and Carlee—I am so very honored to be your family photographer. Thank you for your friendship and never-ending generosity.
Cade's senior session wouldn't have been complete without some shots of him and his beloved Jaggy (she's been with him since he was only three years old). Jaggy is a little grumpy in her old age, but I'm happy to report that no fingers were lost in getting images of the two of them together. Lol.
Be sure to check out some snapshots of my images of little Cade, shown below. What an honor it's been to have this wonderful, ongoing relationship with Cade and his family. I adore them all so much and I am humbled by their dedication to me and my business. I couldn't have kept this business going all these years without my repeat clients. (Which is especially humbling considering we haven't lived in the same state for more than 14 years!)
