You’re not ordinary—why should your senior portraits be?
Experience. Authenticity. Creativity.
The Crystal Image is a full-service portrait studio dedicated to creating imagery that showcases your inner (and outer) beauty. I work to capture the true essence of the person—not just take their picture. Our studio is quite different from others you may have been to.
With more than 15 years of experience as a professional photographer, I have worked with hundreds and hundreds of high school seniors, so I’m accustomed to (and enjoy!) working with all personality types. Are you shy and weirded out by the idea of having pictures taken? That’s okay! I’ll talk you through it and make it super easy. Are you super outgoing and want to give your input on every detail? That’s okay too. Our pre-session consultations are there for that very reason. We want you to LOVE your images—and the experience.
Secondly, we actually have a studio location. A large, glorious location that is temperature controlled year round (cause it’s Kansas you all, and we know how crazy the Kansas weather can be), and overflowing with props and backdrops (like I might have a backdrop addiction. True story). But we also have endless outdoor locations that we take advantage of too.
And thirdly, we offer a gorgeous array of products that provide something for everyone. From custom designed albums and books to stunning canvas wall portraits, we’re here to guide you through the process from start to finish.
The Crystal Image. More than just pretty pictures.
about the artist
Hello! I’m Crystal and I’ve been a professional photographer for more than 15 years and have worked with hundreds and hundreds of seniors—all with different interests, styles and personalities. And I freaking love it.
For me, portraiture is so much more than taking a pretty picture—it’s about capturing your true essence. I think that your senior portrait experience should be amazing, fun and memorable (in a positive way)! We strive to get to know the real you—and have a great time in the process!
Our process starts with a complimentary pre-consultation. Give us a call today to see if we are the right studio for you! 785.393.1958
sessions & investment
Not all photographers are created equal, and here at The Crystal Image we’re focused on providing a highly personalized experience to all of our clients (most who become our dear friends). We offer a wide range of products (our wall art is to die for!) designed to allow you to choose what resonates with you—and is the perfect fit for your home. We’re not just handing you a thumb drive of images (that you have no idea what to do with) and sending you on your merry way. Instead, we work with you one-on-one to design your session, your clothing and select your backdrops and locations. Don’t know what you want? That’s okay too. That’s what we’re here for!
Sessions are $325 (3 hour)/$250 (1.5 hour)/$80 (30 minutes). Call for details.
Product collections start at $750 and a la carte pricing is available.
Call us today for your complimentary pre-consultation or fill out our Let’s Connect form and we’ll call you! 785.393.1958

Crystal was very professional and easy to work with. Services go way beyond just the pictures she takes. She made the sessions fun and enjoyable. Everything we ordered was done on time and exactly as promised. I would highly recommend Crystal Image for your next photo shoot for any occasion. We can’t wait to work with her again.
3200 Haskell Lane, Suite 110

(be leery of Google maps and GPS as they will not always take you to the correct location)
FROM THE WEST SIDE OF TOWN:
The Crystal Image is located just south of 31st street and just west of Haskell Avenue. If you are coming from the west you can take 31st street east (past Menards and Home Depot) and past Louisiana (a three-way stop). Haskell Lane will be your next right. Look for Oliver Electric and Fastenal. We are just south of their location. You may also opt to take the bypass. If taking the bypass (K-10), get off at the Haskell Avenue exit. Turn right onto Haskell Avenue and then left onto 31st Street. Haskell Lane is the first left you can take.
FROM THE EAST SIDE OF TOWN:
Take Haskell Avenue south to 31st street. Turn right onto 31st, then turn left onto Haskell Lane (about a block). Haskell Lane is a dead end and we are the multi-colored building south of Oliver Electric and Fastenal.
